Huddle Up

Culture &
Climate

Strong cultures build strong teams.

In every successful athletic organization, culture isn't just a buzzword — it's a lived experience. When members feel safe, empowered, and aligned with the values of the organization, they are more engaged, accountable, and resilient.

Huddle Up helps sport organizations strengthen their culture by addressing real issues that shape how teams function. These interactive sessions bring athletes, coaches, and staff together to examine how they show up for their teammates, their community, and the mission of the organization.

The result: stronger connection, deeper trust, and the kind of accountability that drives championship-level culture.

Whether the work involves addressing day-to-day disrespect, clarifying boundaries around coaching and feedback, or building inclusive and values-based team norms, Huddle Up sessions help teams have the hard conversations — and emerge stronger for it.

Training Topics

The sessions below represent our most frequently delivered Culture & Climate offerings. All programming can be customized to meet your organization's specific needs.

Respect in the Workplace

Disrespectful behavior can quietly erode team culture—especially when it becomes normalized. In this training, participants learn to identify the difference between feedback and disrespect, recognize how unchecked language and behavior undermine trust and belonging, and practice concrete tools for addressing tension and restoring respect before it escalates.

Championship Culture

Winning teams are built on collective values, psychological safety, and shared purpose. In this workshop, organizations define the values that matter most and what it actually looks like to live them, identify where behaviors align or conflict with those values, and build team agreements and norms that foster genuine accountability, trust, and cohesion.

Anti-Harassment

In sport, some behaviors get excused in the name of motivation or winning. When "hard coaching" crosses the line — whether coach to player, supervisor to employee, or peer to peer — it causes real harm. This session helps athletes and staff recognize where the line is between motivation and harassment, explore their own experiences and reactions, and practice naming and responding to harmful behaviors directly.

Living Your Values

The best teams are driven by values that guide every daily decision from top to bottom. This training supports teams and organizations in identifying core organizational values and how they show up in practice. Learners will explore how to live their individual values while connecting to team values, and they will put it to practice by using values as a framework for action and decision-making in real situations.

Culture & Climate
Assessments

For organizations ready to go deeper, our mixed methods assessments take a comprehensive look at the lived experience of athletes and staff. We combine qualitative and quantitative data to measure alignment between an organization's stated values and its actual climate — and use those insights to inform tailored strategies that improve communication, safety, inclusion, and performance.
