Leadership
Development
Leadership is not a title, it is a decision — one that every athlete, coach, and staff member makes daily.
Huddle Up helps people understand how they can choose to lead in how they show up, how they treat others, and how they respond when it matters most.
Built on more than three decades of delivering leadership training across professional, college, and high school sport, Huddle Up knows what moves the needle in athletic environments. It's not lectures or worksheets, but dynamic, facilitated experiences that challenge participants to look inward, develop concrete skills, and step into their full influence on the people and culture around them.
Our experience informs us that we live in a world struggling to gain any real traction in dealing with a lack of effective, transformational leadership. We need leadership innovation.
Huddle Up is that innovation.
Our sessions span the full arc of leadership — from self-awareness to team dynamics, and from leading under pressure and adversity to navigating culture-shifting moments.
Because no two organizations are the same, every program is designed in partnership with you.

Empowering the Next Generation of Leaders with the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Form (SALF)
See MoreThe Problem:
Student-athletes were not equipped to handle 21st century leadership challenges.
The Solution:
Since 2014, the Institute has partnered with the NCAA to develop and deliver the training and curriculum for the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum (SALF). The Institute develops the leadership content and materials for 14 hours of engagement with the student-athletes, coaches, and administrators that participate in the SALF. We also develop and deliver a train-the-trainer program for the facilitators of the SALF content. This program engages up to 400 learners annually.
99% of learners left SALF Agreeing or Strongly Agreeing that they have the knowledge and skills needed to be an effective leader, a 30% increase from pre-test
